Mateo Laboriel is a Los Angeles based composer, producer, recording engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. Trained at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston he earned a degree in production, engineering, and composition. Mateo has since contributed to over thirty-five feature films like Sex and the City, Shrek 3, ATL, Akeelah and the Bee, Alpha Dog, and the Proposal.

Equally known and respected for his artistic gifts as composer and producer, his personal skills as a collaborator, and his technical skills behind the console, Mateo has partnered with diverse array of artists including Lil’ Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Jamie Foxx, Dr Dre, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, and ‘Earth, Wind and Fire.’ He is a voting member of the Recording Academy and an ASCAP composer.
